Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Timeline Guesser (the "Service"), owned and operated by Tastier Adventures ("we", "us"), collects, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as the game needs.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and a Google account identifier. We use these to create your account, show your profile, and let your progress follow you across devices. We never receive your Google password.
- Gameplay data. Scores, streaks, best runs, and decks you create are stored so leaderboards and your profile work.
- On-device data. When you play signed out, your progress and preferences are stored locally in your browser and are not sent to us.
- Technical data. Standard server logs and basic analytics (for example, page views and general device/browser type) help us keep the Service running and understand what is popular.
Cookies and local storage
We use browser local storage to remember your progress and settings, and cookies or similar technologies for sign-in sessions and analytics. Advertising partners (see below) may also set cookies or use device identifiers. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Advertising
Timeline Guesser is free and we plan to support it with advertising. When ads are enabled, third-party ad providers may serve ads on the Service and may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to measure ad performance and, where permitted, to show ads relevant to your interests based on your activity on this and other sites. These providers act as independent controllers of the data they collect through their tags.
Depending on the ad partners we work with (which may include providers such as Google and its advertising products), you can learn about and control ad personalization through their tools and through industry opt-out pages such as the ones operated by the Digital Advertising Alliance (aboutads.info) and the Network Advertising Initiative (networkadvertising.org). Where required by law, we will request consent before serving personalized ads, and you will be able to change that choice.
How your information is used and shared
We use the data above to run the game, maintain leaderboards and profiles, improve the Service, and — once enabled — display advertising. We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate (for example, database hosting and analytics), with advertising providers as described above, and where required by law.
Data retention
We keep account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its data at any time (a delete option is also available on your profile), after which we remove it except where we must keep records to comply with the law.
Children
The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Your choices and rights
You can play without signing in, clear on-device data through "Reset my data" or your browser, delete your account, and control cookies and ad personalization as described above. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data — email us to exercise them.
