Christmas Timeline Games

Three holiday decks live here. Christmas movies has 40 films ordered by release year, spanning old studio classics and newer favorites. Christmas songs places 40 famous recordings by the year each version came out, which matters when a song has been recorded many times. Hallmark Christmas movies holds 30 TV movies ordered by their Hallmark Channel premiere. Each card goes onto the line in turn, and a wrong spot costs a life.

Christmas movies is the easiest way in, since most people have seen a good share of them. The songs deck is trickier than it seems: a standard you hear every December may be a cover of a much older tune, and the card goes by the famous recording, not the songwriting. Hallmark is for the devoted, because those films arrive by the dozen each season and their plots blend together.
