Playing the toys and collectibles timelines
Six decks cover what people buy, trade and keep in the box. Toys is the broadest, with 49 cards dated by first sale. LEGO themes orders the sets by launch, Iconic sneakers by original release, and Toy crazes by the year each one took off. Barbie milestones and Hot Wheels milestones mix dolls, cars, products and events from each brand's long history. Sizes run from 30 to 49 cards. You set down one card at a time, and a wrong spot costs a life.
Collectors of one brand will want the Barbie or Hot Wheels decks, where a long run of products makes the middle of the line hard to read. Sneakers are tricky in a different way: retros and reissues keep classic shoes on shelves long after their first release, so the pair you remember may have been a re-release. Toy crazes is the most fun with a group, since everyone remembers a different playground fad.
