What's in the music awards timeline collection

These decks follow music's biggest nights. Eurovision Song Contest winners is the longest at 71 cards, and Grammy Record of the Year runs to 68. Super Bowl halftime headliners, MTV VMA Video of the Year winners, Billboard Year-End No. 1 songs, Coachella headliners and Oscar-winning songs each hold 40 or so. Most order by the year of the ceremony or show, which can differ from when a song came out, and Coachella counts each act's first turn at the top of the bill. Cards come one at a time, and a miss costs a life.

Pop fans should begin with the Billboard or VMA decks, where the hits are familiar. Eurovision is the long game, with plenty of winners that never charted outside Europe, while the Grammy deck reaches far enough back to include records many players have only heard of. Watch the gap between release and award: a record often wins the following year, and halftime shows go by the calendar year of the game, which is played early in the year.
