How to play the movies timeline game
Every card is a well-known film, with its director printed under the title, and you sort them by the year it hit theaters. One movie starts on the timeline with its year showing. Each new card goes into the gap you choose, before, after or between the films already placed. If you're right, the year appears. If you're wrong, the movie still lands in its real spot, and one of your three lives is gone.
This is a huge deck, reaching from silent comedy to recent blockbusters, with dramas, thrillers, comedies, musicals and cult oddities in between. Directors with long careers help you sketch an era but rarely pin down a year. Expect trouble with films that feel modern but are older than they seem, and with sequels that came out much later than you remember.
