How the sci-fi saga timelines play

Two broad decks open the page: Sci-fi & fantasy films with 80 cards and Sci-fi & fantasy novels with 51. The sagas follow. Star Wars has three decks (releases, the films alone, and characters by debut), Star Trek has films and series plus episode decks for The Original Series and The Next Generation, and Doctor Who and Black Mirror bring their famous episodes by air date. Alien and Predator, Planet of the Apes and Halo games order by release, while Halo timeline sorts the games by in-universe story. Most franchise decks are short. Each card goes down alone, and a wrong spot costs a life.

Star Wars films, at nine cards, is the quickest round. Doctor Who has been on air across a very long stretch, so its episode deck spans eras of the show that few fans have watched in full. Star Trek gets crowded where several series overlap, and Planet of the Apes mixes a novel, films and TV. In Halo timeline, prequels pull the order away from release, which makes it the best test for lore fans.
