How the New York Islanders roster timeline game works

You draw the rest one by one, each showing a name and a single position letter, and you choose the gap he belongs in. Right gaps reveal years. Wrong gaps still move the player to his real position and cost one of three lives.
The Islanders started as an expansion club on Long Island and quickly became a dynasty, so the earliest part of the deck is loaded with the core that built it. After that come lean years, a few short playoff revivals and the recent defensive teams. Goalies are a big share of the cards. Many dynasty players stayed for a long time, so separating them comes down to who got there first.
