How the St. Louis Blues roster timeline game works

On every card is a St. Louis Blues player, and the question is when he first played for the club. A single card opens the timeline with its year in view. Then the cards come one at a time, each with a name and a position letter, and you pick a gap among the players already placed. Right gaps reveal the year. Wrong gaps still send the player to where he belongs, and you give up one of three lives.

The Blues came in with the first wave of expansion and leaned on experienced players from older clubs, so the early cards include names you may associate with other teams. The deck then travels through a long run of steady playoff clubs to the recent era. Goalies make up a big share of the cards and turn over fast, which makes them the trickiest to place.
