An expansion club on Florida's Gulf Coast, the Lightning have a short history, so the cards sit close together from the start. The opening seasons are crowded with names only longtime fans will know. Later the deck fills with the homegrown core of the championship years, and those players came up so close together that their order can feel like a coin toss.
