Playing the YA series books timeline
This deck pulls books from the biggest young adult series of recent memory, and you place them in order of the year each was first published. Each card names the author under the title. One book is put on the line for you with its year showing. For every card after that, work out which books came before it and which came after, then drop it into that gap. Right answers reveal the year. Wrong ones still slide the book into place, and each costs one of your three lives.
Several series ran at the same time, so the challenge is less about the order within each saga and more about how the series overlap. Knowing a series' reading order helps, but the gaps between volumes vary a lot, from a book every year to waits of several years. Prequels and later spin-offs are the main trap, because they're set earlier in the story but came out long after the original books. Film adaptations can also throw you, since the movies often arrived years after the books they adapted.
