Order by the year each player first won the Golden Shoe. You place all 39 cards on one timeline, one at a time. Three wrong guesses ends the run.
These cards are strikers who won the European Golden Shoe as the top league scorer in Europe, each with his club printed underneath. You place them by the year each first won it. One winner starts on the timeline with the year showing. For each new card, choose a gap among those already placed. Get it right and the year appears; get it wrong and the player still lands in the correct spot but uses up one of three lives.
Strikers you watched every weekend sit next to forwards who scored freely in leagues that rarely get televised abroad. The club helps place a few cards, but Europe's giants produce winners across the whole history. Prolific scorers often had their best season at a club you don't associate with them, so think about where each player was at his peak.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
Here are 28 of the 39 cards you might be dealt, with 11 more in the deck. Their values stay hidden until you place them.
