Order by the year each player first won NL MVP. You place all 71 cards on one timeline, one at a time. Three wrong guesses ends the run.
This is the National League side: each card is an NL MVP, shown with the team and position he played that season. Your job is to place them by the year of each player's first award. A single MVP starts on the timeline with the year showing. Put each new card into a gap among those already down. Right calls reveal the year; misses still drop the player into his real slot but take one of your three lives.
It's a big deck, so expect long stretches where several winners played at the same time. The team line rarely helps on its own, since the same clubs produce MVPs in every era, and positions repeat endlessly. Think about when each player broke out rather than when he was most famous. Those whose first award came early in a long career are the ones that trip people up.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
This deck has been played 24 times. An average run places 3.5 cards, and 54% of all placements land in the right spot. Nobody has placed every card yet.
Here are 28 of the 71 cards you might be dealt, with 43 more in the deck. Their values stay hidden until you place them.
