How to play the UFC history timeline game

Here the cards are landmark UFC fights and business moments, ordered by the year each one happened. Under every title is a line on where it took place or what made it famous. You start with one milestone placed and dated. Then it's card by card: decide which gap it belongs in, before, after or between what's already down. Land it and the year is revealed; miss and the card still goes where it truly belongs, but one of your three lives is gone.

Expect everything from the no-holds-barred tournaments of the early days through the reality-show boom to the promotion's biggest modern spectacles. Many fighters show up on several cards, so you'll often be ordering one champion's own fights against each other, wins, losses and rematches alike. Las Vegas hosts so many of these that the venue line rarely settles anything on its own. Upsets stick in the memory, which can make them feel more recent than they are.
