Order by the year each wrestler began their earliest WWWF, WWF or WWE Championship reign. You place all 40 cards on one timeline, one at a time. You start with three lives, and ten right in a row wins a lost one back.
The cards are wrestlers who held the company's top title, through its years as the WWWF and the WWF and on into WWE. A nickname or short description sits below each name. You're putting them in order by the year their first reign began. One champion starts on the line with the year visible, and you work out where each new title holder fits around them. Read it correctly and the year of that first reign shows. Misread it and the champion still drops into the right place, at the cost of one of three lives.
It reaches from the territory days in the Northeast through the national expansion, the Monday night wars and the modern era of stadium shows. The nicknames are fun but rarely date anyone, since many gimmicks lasted for decades. The hardest calls are wrestlers who were famous long before they finally won the title, and the stretches where several stars broke through in quick succession.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
