Order by year of release. You place all 60 cards on one timeline, one at a time. You start with three lives, and ten right in a row wins a lost one back.
Each card is an action film, from car chases and kung fu classics to explosion-packed blockbusters, with its lead star printed underneath. Your job is to line them up by the year each was released. The first card sits on the timeline with its year showing. Slot every new film into the gap where you think it belongs. Call it right and the year appears; call it wrong and the film still drops into its true place, but you lose one of your three lives.
The deck runs from early spy and cop thrillers through the muscle-bound heroes of the video store years and on to the stunt-driven hits of recent times. The star line helps most, since many actors had a clear run as the biggest name in the genre. Watch out for franchise starters and late sequels, and for stars who kept making action films long after their first breakout role.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
Here are 28 of the 60 cards you might be dealt, with 32 more in the deck. Their values stay hidden until you place them.
