Order by running time, shortest first. You place all 28 cards in the right order, one at a time. You start with three lives, and ten right in a row wins a lost one back.
Each card is a well-known film with its director printed underneath, and your job is to line them up by running time in minutes, shortest first. Times are for the original theatrical cut, not extended or director's editions. The first film goes down with its runtime in view. Pick a gap for every new card. Place it correctly and the minutes are revealed; place it wrong and the film still slides into its true position, but one of your three lives is spent.
The line runs from brisk animated classics that wrap up before you finish your popcorn to sprawling epics that once needed an intermission. Genre is a decent guide, yet it fools people: a blockbuster you remember as breezy can run long, and a film that felt endless may be shorter than you think. Big directors tend to stretch out as their careers go on. Picture where the bathroom break would fall and trust that feeling.
Here are 28 of the 28 cards you might be dealt. Their values stay hidden until you place them.
