How to play the Showtime shows timeline game

The cards are Showtime original series, with only the title on each, and you're sorting them by the year each first aired. One show is down from the start, its year in view. Read each new card and set it in the gap where you think it premiered. If you're right, the year is revealed. If you're wrong, the show still moves to its true spot, and one of your three lives is gone.

The deck reaches back to the channel's early original programming and comes forward through a long run of dark comedies, prestige dramas and true-story miniseries. One serial-killer franchise shows up more than once, and telling its entries apart takes care. Revivals and spin-offs of older shows are the classic trap, and so are shows that ran so long they feel like they've always been there.
