How to play the Nobel Prize in Literature timeline
Each card names a Nobel laureate in literature, with their country printed underneath, and you place them by the year they won. One laureate opens the timeline with the year showing. Each new card goes into a gap before, between or after the laureates already placed. Right guesses earn the year; a wrong one moves the laureate to their true spot and costs you one of three lives.
The laureates include novelists, poets, playwrights and even a songwriter, from every continent. The country under each name rarely helps you date a win, since the committee spreads the prize around and returns to some countries often. Writers you studied at school might have won much later than you'd guess, and the less famous names are the real test.
