How to play the Hunter x Hunter plot order game

Each card is a moment from the 2011 Hunter x Hunter anime, and the goal is to rebuild the order they happen in the story, from Gon leaving Whale Island to his climb up the World Tree. A scene the show tells out of order is marked Flashback, and it belongs where it falls in the timeline, which can be years or even decades before Gon sets out. One card starts on the line. Slot each new card before, after or between the ones already down. A good call reveals its place; a bad one still moves the card to its proper spot, but costs one of your three lives.

Gon's journey moves from place to place, so ask where a moment happens: an exam site, the Zoldyck estate, a fighting tower, Yorknew City, a video game or the NGL. Then think about who is with him. Kurapika and Leorio travel with Gon early on, Biscuit trains the boys later, and Kite reappears only in the second half. Whether Gon knows Nen yet is a strong clue, and so is the state of Netero and Kite, who are not around forever.
