Order by year of release. You place all 40 cards on one timeline, one at a time. You start with three lives, and ten right in a row wins a lost one back.
Every card is a theatrical film adapted from a video game, with the game series it came from printed under the title. Order them by the year each film was released. One card begins on the timeline with its year showing. Drop each new film into the gap you think is right. If it fits, the year is revealed. If not, it still slides into its real spot, and you lose one of your three lives.
Adaptations go back further than many people think, and the deck covers early live-action experiments, a long run of horror and fighting game films, and the big animated and family hits of recent years. Several series have more than one film here, including sequels and reboots, so read each title closely. A film often trails its game by many years, so the age of the game is only a rough guide.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
Here are 28 of the 40 cards you might be dealt, with 12 more in the deck. Their values stay hidden until you place them.
