How the Blumhouse films timeline game works

Each card is a Blumhouse production, with the director printed under the title on all but one card, and you put them in order by year of release. One film starts you off, already placed, its year in view. For every new card, choose the gap you think fits among the films already down. If it's right, the year is revealed. If it's wrong, the film still lands where it belongs, and one of your three lives is spent.

Low-budget horror franchises make up much of the deck, and their sequel numbers and subtitles help you build chains. Between them sit standalone shockers and a few prestige dramas that surprised people by coming from a horror shop. The studio turns out several films at a time, so neighbors are often very close, and revivals of older franchises are easy to place in the wrong era.
