Order the Conjuring Universe films by year of release. You place all 10 cards on one timeline, one at a time. You start with three lives, and ten right in a row wins a lost one back.
These cards are the films of the Conjuring Universe: the Warrens' case files plus the spin-offs about a cursed doll, a demonic nun and a weeping woman. Each card names the director under the title, and you sort them by year of release. One film is placed at the start, year showing. Pick a spot for each new card among those already down. A good pick leaves the year in view; a bad one still puts the film where it goes but uses up one of three lives.
The shared universe grew quickly once the first film was a hit, so releases come thick and fast and some land very close together. The tricky part is that several spin-offs are set long before the main story, and in-world chronology is no help: you're ordering by when the films came out, not when they take place. A few directors worked on more than one entry, which makes the printed name a partial clue at best.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
Here are 10 of the 10 cards you might be dealt. Their values stay hidden until you place them.
