Order the Friday the 13th films and TV series by year of release. You place all 14 cards on one timeline, one at a time. You start with three lives, and ten right in a row wins a lost one back.
The hockey-masked killer's whole franchise is here: every card is a Friday the 13th film or TV series, printed with its director or simply "TV series", and you put them in release order. A single card opens the game on the timeline, its year printed for you. Choose a gap for each new title, before, after or between the ones already there. Right gaps reveal the year. Wrong ones still send the card to its true spot and take one of the three lives you start with.
The franchise burned through sequels at a fierce pace for a while, and the Roman numerals in the titles do much of the work for that core run. Not every entry is numbered, though: some go by a subtitle alone, and the series wandered a long way from summer camp, picking up a crossover and a reboot. Those oddities and the small-screen cards are where runs fall apart. Directors change almost every time, so the printed name helps only if you know the films well.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
Here are 14 of the 14 cards you might be dealt. Their values stay hidden until you place them.
