Order the Scream films and TV series by year of release. You place all 9 cards on one timeline, one at a time. You start with three lives, and ten right in a row wins a lost one back.
Each card is a Scream movie or one of the television spin-offs, and you're lining them up by release year. Under the title you'll see the director, or a note that the card is a TV series. The game opens with one entry placed and its year visible. Decide where each new card falls relative to what's down, earlier or later or somewhere between. Land it correctly and the year is yours to see; miss and it still drops into place, leaving you one life fewer out of three.
Ghostface keeps coming back, through quick sequels, a long pause and a revival that brought in a new generation alongside the original survivors. The numbered sequels are the easy anchors. Two cards share the original title, so the cast named in parentheses matters more than it looks. The television seasons cause the most trouble, since they sit apart from the film story and are easy to misplace.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
Here are 9 of the 9 cards you might be dealt. Their values stay hidden until you place them.
