Order by the year of each group's debut single or album, whichever came first. You place all 40 cards on one timeline, one at a time. You start with three lives, and ten right in a row wins a lost one back.
Every card is a pop group, boy band or girl group, and you sort them by the year of each act's debut single or album, whichever came first. Under the name you'll see where the group came from and a quick description. One group is placed to start, with its year shown. Add the rest one by one, each into the gap you choose. Right answers reveal the debut year; wrong ones move the group to its real spot and take a life. You have three, and if you place ten in a row correctly, a lost life comes back.
The lineup runs from early vocal groups and Motown through teen idols and harmony groups to the TV talent show era and the K-pop wave. Many groups arrived in clusters, with acts from the same country or label following each other within a year or two, so the middle of the line is packed. The origin line helps you split American, British and Irish acts. Remember that the date is a debut, not a peak: some groups took years to break through, while others hit the charts with their first single.
