Order by the calendar year of the Super Bowl game each commercial aired during. You place all 30 cards on one timeline, one at a time. You start with three lives, and ten right in a row wins a lost one back.
Every card is a famous Super Bowl commercial, and you order them by the calendar year of the game they aired during. The brand, sometimes with the star or director, is printed under the ad's title. One ad starts on the line, its year visible. For each new card, choose the gap you think is right. Correct gaps show the year; wrong ones still send the ad to its proper slot and cost you one of your three lives.
The ads trace the game's rise into the biggest showcase in advertising, with celebrity spots, talking animals, tearjerkers and plenty of nostalgia along the way. Some brands return again and again, so the name under the title only narrows things down. Keep in mind that the game is played early in the calendar year, after the season it ends. Ads that replayed for years afterward can feel more recent than the game they first aired in.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
Here are 28 of the 30 cards you might be dealt, with 2 more in the deck. Their values stay hidden until you place them.
