Order these snack foods by the year each was introduced. You place all 26 cards on one timeline, one at a time. Three wrong guesses ends the run.
Crackers, pretzels, chips, puffs and popcorn: every card is a snack food with a quick description printed below. Your job is to order them by the year each was introduced. One snack starts on the timeline with its year showing. Choose a gap for each new card among the snacks already placed. A placement that holds reveals the year; wrong, and the snack still lands in its true spot, but you lose one of three lives.
Many of these have been in the grocery aisle for generations, so it's easy to assume they all date from the same time. They don't. The chip aisle gets crowded in the middle of the line, with several launches close together. A spin-off always arrives after the snack it's based on, which helps with pairs, and spicy and flavored versions are worth a second look.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
This deck has been played 16 times. An average run places 3.6 cards, and 54% of all placements land in the right spot. Nobody has placed every card yet.
