Order these Minecraft mobs by the year each was added to the game. You place all 28 cards on one timeline, one at a time. You start with three lives, and ten right in a row wins a lost one back.
Every card is a Minecraft mob, and you order them by the year each one was added to the game. Only the mob's name is printed. One mob begins on the timeline with its year showing. Put each new card in a gap. A good placement turns up the year; a wrong one still moves the mob to its true place and costs one of three lives.
Most major updates brought a handful of new creatures, so mobs tend to arrive in themed groups: ocean dwellers together, Nether natives together, mountain and cave creatures together. If you can tie a mob to the update that added it, you're most of the way there. Boss mobs and passive animals are mixed in together. The trickiest cards are the ones that feel like they've always been in the game.
Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
This deck has been played 136 times. An average run places 7.1 cards, and 71% of all placements land in the right spot. Only 3 runs have ever placed every card.
