How to play the Pokémon regions timeline

Every card is a main Pokémon region, and you order them by the year the games that introduced it were released. Under each region's name are the games it debuted in. One region starts on the timeline with its year showing. Pick a gap for each new card. Pick the gap that fits and the year appears; a wrong one still puts the region in its true place and costs one of your three lives.

Each generation brought a new region, so if you know the generations in order, you're in good shape. The games printed under each name are the giveaway for anyone who played them, so the challenge is mostly for lapsed fans. Regions inspired by real places don't come in any geographic order. One card belongs to a game outside the usual paired releases, so don't place it by habit.

Want a longer game? On the deck tree you can tick this deck alongside any other one measured in release years and dates, and they shuffle into a single timeline together.
