How the food fads timeline game works

The cards are foods, drinks and snacks that had their moment, and you order them by the year each fad took off. A line under every name describes the dish or how it caught on. One fad is placed for you at the start, its year visible. After that, it's your call where each card goes: earlier, later or in between. A correct choice reveals the year. An incorrect one still moves the card to where it belongs and uses up one of your three lives.

Gelatin salads, frozen dinners, holiday casseroles, clear sodas, novelty candy, bakery hybrids and social-media desserts all turn up here. The recent end is busy, since viral treats started arriving almost every year once people posted their food online. Brand and chain names in the descriptions can help you pin things down. Be careful with foods that had more than one wave, because the same kind of treat can return in a new form.
