How to play the MLB career stolen bases game

Speed is the theme: MLB's great base stealers, ranked by career stolen bases. Retired players show the years they played under their name; current players are marked active with their team. One runner starts on the line with his total showing. Each card that follows has to be slotted into a gap. Pick right and the steal total appears; pick wrong and he still slides into place, but you lose one of three lives.

Speed has gone in and out of fashion over baseball's history, so the career span printed on each card is worth reading closely. The top of the list stands apart, while further down the totals bunch together. Active players include young speedsters whose counts are rising quickly, which makes them hard to judge against retired players with complete careers.
