How the MLB career strikeouts game works

Rank MLB pitchers by career strikeouts in this deck. Every card names the pitcher and gives his career span, or notes that he's active and the team he pitches for. One pitcher starts on the line with his strikeout total in view. Choose a gap for each new card; if you're right the number appears, and if you're wrong he still moves to the correct place while you lose one of three lives.

Power arms dominate the top, but longevity is just as important, and a pitcher who lasted for many seasons can outrank a flashier one. The span on each card is a good guide to how long a career ran. Current starters and relievers further down are the trickiest, as their totals sit close together and keep rising.
